“A Gala Day ”
Salenda Margot Giardin & Her Son John’s visit to Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Sister Nivedita Girls’ School, Baghbazar, Kolkata on 16th February, 2015

Mrs. Salenda Margot Giardin, grandniece of Sister Nivedita visited our school on 16th February, 2015 with her son Mr. John. She arrived at 10.30 a.m. and spent 3 hours with our Matajis, staff and students. In her speech, Mrs. Giardin gave a brief account of her family background Samual Richmond Noble, the brother of Sister Nivedita, was the maternal grandfather of Salenda. She was overhelmed and expressed her delight and gratitude to the authority and staff of the Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Sister Nivedita Girls’ School and Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Headquarters. She extended her special thanks and gratitude to Smt. Sarada Sarkar, who discovered her and arranged her visit to India individually. She thanked Sri Rantidev Sengupta too. She played on synthesizer some tune of the songs composed by Samual Richmond Noble.

Our students also conveyed their regards, love and gratitude to Mrs. Salenda Margot Giardin and her son. The students presented a programme of  recitation and  eloqution from the extracts of Sister Nivedita.(Enclosed pictures)

Mrs. Salenda Margot Giardin visited the site of 16, Bosepara Lane, the house of her grand aunt, Sister Nivedita, on 16.02.2015. The Matajis of Ramakrishna Sarada Mission cordially welcomed her. She was overhelmed and tried to feel the vibration of the holy place with every touch in every step.
