Ramakrishna Mission Sister Nivedita Girls' School, Kolkata

On 13 November in 1898  Sri Sri Maa performed a puja inaugurating Sister Nivedita’s School,in presence of Swami Vivekananda,Brahmananda,Saradananda and which was to open up a glorious new chapter in the history of womens’s education in India.
Our Alumni Association is a registered body under West Bengal Society’s Act formed by the ex-students of the school. In 2001 it was started with the basic motto of keeping the spirit of sisterhood alive among all the present and ex-students of our school.
Our former students are encouraged to join the association and to take active part.

The mission of Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Sister Nivedita Girls’ School Alumni Association (since 1998) is to promote fellow feeling and fraternity amongst ex-students, preserve students and also the staff members of the school. To foster the dreams of Sister Nivedita, it is in tuned with overall personality development and improvement of the condition of womenfolk, giving importance to women education, keeping harmony with the indigenous Indian tradition and culture. It is to initiate or assist in the initiation or performance of all activities (cultural, social and intellectual) which would be directly or indirectly beneficial to the school, in upholding the tradition of excellence of Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Sister Nivedita Girls’ School, Kolkata, India.
